AED Training
As the goal’s of Greg’s Fund expanded, we
decided to try to learn as much as we could about AEDs and how they are
used. Both of us are certified American Heart Association instructors.
Rachel is also certified by the American Red Cross, a fact she delights in
holding over John’s head.
With others, we have helped
train more than 1,000 people by offering the Heartsaver AED course. Some
early donations to Greg’s Fund were earmarked for training manikins and
AED manufacturers have been gracious in donating AED trainers. We are also
thankful to a cadre of dedicated friends and acquaintances who routinely
give up their time to train others in AED and CPR skills. Because the
training materials are owned by Greg’s Fund, we have been able to provide
training for $5 per person or less.
